How many own a .40cal and 9mm pistol and keep them and their ammo
in close proximity?

Thanks
Wayne

I keep mine in the same large container, in plastic cases marked plainly in each caliber. I keep much more 9mm than .40, the 9mm is "fun gun" stuff, while the .40 is primarily HD. No problems, so far. However, I am the only one that has access to that ammo (not that that solves anything). My wife only uses .38 spl., and if she shoots anything else, it's 9mm. I furnish all her ammo and keep her guns clean, its been O.K. so far.:scrutiny:

I've never gotten them mixed up. I've often had both at the range at the same time.

To make matters worse for me, my .40 is a CZ40B and my 9mm is a CZ75B. The magazines for one, will fit and lock in the other.

Just FYI, I've witnessed someone accidentally load a 9mm round into a .40 cal Glock 23. When it was time to double tap, the 9mm did fire from the Glock 23, but did not cycle the slide, and obviously did not eject the empty case. A simple clearing procedure (rap, roll, and racking the slide) put the shooter right back in the game.
