44 mag load for a friend...help

17.3gr of Blue Dot?! That is quite a bit above max load, Nosler maxes out at 15gr. I loaded these to 13.7gr which should be pretty mild my 44 mag standards, but still plenty enough for deer within 50 yards. I opted for 240gr XTP bullets because they have really good reviews from hunters.

I don't load for others either.
If I did, I'd use Trail Boss since too much powder won't fit in the case.
Black powder would be good for this too. They'd either have fun with it or they'd never ask me to load for them again. (Both good results IMHO

That said, several of my family members and friends shoot my reloads. But that's in my guns and usually when I'm there.

Blue Dot work's well with the magnum loads. A little messy if trying to soften load's. Burn's clean near maximum but work up to it.
