I like 5.5 grains of Red Dot and a 240LSWC in 44 special. Works great and you can go up to 6.5 grains of Red Dot if you want.
In 44 Magnum I use 8.0 of Red Dot and the same bullet.
(IN truth, I have to say that I actually use PROMO which loads to same data by weight as Red Dot and performs the same.)
