Does anyone reload .44 using a Desert Eagle. I'm purchasing a used one right now. Normally, I use either 2400 or H110 in my .44's. As I understand, rounds will typically jam in a Desert Eagle when using lighter loads. I dont know how true this is but I don't want to take any chances.

What say you?

I have loaded for a Desert Eagle in 44 Mag. in the past. I found that a load with 180 grain bullets would not cycle the action. The 240 grain loads I made up worked fine with minimal recoil.

The Desert Eagle is very susceptable to limp wristing. If you don't keep your wrist ridgid during the recoil it will jam even with 50 AE loads.

I had a DE years ago used H110/296 with 240gr also used AA 9. NO cast bullets as they will clog the gas system. The DE people recommend staying away from 2400 it beats up the action. You might want to call on that as I can't imagine 'beating the action to death"
