44 magnum SAAMI standards; handgun vs rifle question

Hi all!
I was looking over the SAAMI standards for 44 mag and see that in handguns, the barrel groove diameter is .429 (like it is for 44 special). For rifles, the barrel groove diameter is .431.
I measured some Federal 44mag and Underwood 44 special rounds and they ran .429-.430; these were all lead. Only some Underwood 44 mag 305 gr came out to .425-.426 and they were also lead.
Questions; do most ammo makers of 44 mag these days size their projectiles for the .429 groove, given the possibility it might be used in a handgun? What groove size on their barrels are the rifle makers (like Henry and Ruger) using?
(I was not able to check jacketed ammo; anybody able to do so?)
Thank you!
