Looking for a recipe that uses 240 gr bullets and W231 powder, if anyone has one and doesn't mind sharing.

Loaded to 1.275" with a 240 grain bullet of unknown make Hodgdon list a starting load of 4.0 grains of HP38. Maximum is listed as 4.8. HP38 and Win 231 are the same powder. I used 4.6 grains of Win 231 for an average velocity of about 800 fps.

Bullet design will effect pressure here so you will have to be careful and work up. I quit when I got to an average 800 fps with this combination. The was a significant jump in velocity with the 4.8 grain load.
