449.00 Okay for a 1911 SA Mil Spec (not the GI45)?

I found a stainless one for that price the other day, but I don't know if it was NIB.

Around here, the shops with 'good prices' have them for $440 so $450 ain't that far off.

I don't think I've ever seen a stainless MilSpec for $450 that was new... I usually see them going for closer to $490 or $500.

OI just cannot afford any more than one pistol right now and I felt like if I had to narrrow it down, the 1911 .45ACP was the way to go.

I went into the guns shop and they had marked it down from $529.00 to $449.00 which seemed like a good deal.

You're in the ball park. That's what I paid for the three dot hi-viz sight version. The G.I. WW 2 mil-spec cost me $400.00+ tax here in R.I. They are one heck of a good deal.

Having researched this myself a few weeks ago before buying the same gun myself, I would say that is a pretty reasonable price. I did pay less for mine ($429), but that was by far the lowest I had seen. Most reported prices were in the $450 to $500 range.

$450 is a good deal for the regular Mil-Spec where I'm at.
