45-70 Magnum CCI250

I have a few loads now with IMR powders. I am only loading with CCI 300 LRP. I know with a slight increase in cost for CCI 250 LMRP I will cut 10-20% of powder. Does anyone have a load worked up for IMR 4198 using Magnum primers?
What other powders do you have magnum loads for in the 45-70. I only got a 100 pack so this may be a short lived trial.

Bad typo fixed.

how do you figure you will beable to cut back on the powder 10 - 20%? why are you using pistol primers (not that they won't work)? that being said I doubt that you would see any difference at all

Pistol and powder

I am guessing I will use less powder with a Mag primer. I am not using pisol primers. I misstyped the #. Standard CCI200 and mag CCI250 large rifle primer.

That's not necessarily how it works. You'll be better off sticking with established load data and not trying to economize by substituting primers and reducing powder. I suggest you just find a load that shoots well in your gun and stick with it.

Hope this helps.
