ive got a question for you more knowledgeable reloaders out there i was depriming a mixed bag of 45acp today and while inspecting them i noticed that several cases had a diffrent size primer pocket the head stamp says 45 auto cbc, but the primer pocket on 8 of them mics at .1715 to .1730 and two cases with the same head stamp mic at .2100 the smaller ones seem to take a small pistol primer and the two others take a large pistol primer. Has anybody run across this before. If i used these with small pistol primers and 7.7 grains of accur#5 and 230 grain lead round nose would there be any problems. Why would these have the small primer pocket every thing else mics to specs in my books. thanks in advance for any help on this.
