.45 ACP West Coast Bullets?

I was down at sportsman's wharehouse the other day and noticed that they carry 500 count boxes of West Coast Bullets for about $35.00 That is a pretty good buy. I have been looking threw all my reloading stuff and can't find any reload data for them.

Has anyone used their bullets and worked up some loads. Specifically for OAL. I will be shooting them out of a Glock 30.

180 grn, 200 grn, 230 grn

I just finished a box of them bullets off last weekend. I use Winchester 231 powder 5.7gr in mixed brass and WLP primers at 1.275 with no problems in my Kimber and Bersa .45.

The jacket is pretty soft and will deform if you put too much of a crimp on them.

5.0gr of WST behind a 200gr WCB @1.260 is a great shooting load for my HKs and 1911s. Ditto for 4.5gr of WST behind a 230gr (same COL). 4.2gr of WST behind a 200gr SWC is an outstanding bulllseye load (adjust COL to feed, not picky, use ligh springs to get reliable functioning). Crimp a 45 just enough to remove the bell at the mouth.

West Coast makes at least two types (they were bought by Accurate Bullets of Idaho, BTW). I assume you're referring to the copper plated bullets.

Yes. I just want to make a bunch of range ammo. So I can enjoy the recoil and holes that I make in paper. It puts a grin on my face every time!

I reloaded nearly 500 of the West Coast 230 gr. plated bullets. I used 7.0 grs of Power Pistol and it chronos at an average fps of 868. Accuracy at 15 yards was excellent. I don't have any problem with them.

Witch sportmans did you see them for $35? The one in Provo Utah has the 230s for nearly $40 per 500.

Riverdale. It might be a little more than 35.00 (37.00??) but I know it was less than 40.00 for the 230 grainers.

I e-mailed accurate bullets. They sent me this e-mail.
