I bought a Redding 93189 flaring die today since my Lee universal expander will not reach the .45 AR case, and barely flares the .45 acp. I suspect there's a difference in the shellholder due to the wide rim of the AR.
Now my question is: What is the difference between the Redding 85189 Taper Crimp Die (which is what I think is in my Competition Carbide .45 acp die set) and the .45 AR Profile Crimp Die? Well, I suspect the latter is for the AR specifically and is not designed for a case that headspaces on the case mouth. But the Sinclair website shows that die for both cases:
