.45 glock in a .45 revolver

curious, can you run .45 glock in a .45 revolver such as the taurus tracker?

I would think so if the fit the full-moon clips used in the Tracker. But why? I see no advantage they offer over a standard .45 ACP when used in a revolver. The purpose of a "shorter" .45 cartridge was so it could be used in a smaller framed pistol.

Why on Earth would you want it?

Instead of going that route - Why not ask about .45 Super or .45SMC?
Now THAT would be far more interesting.

.45GAP in in a .45ACP would be like shooting .38's in a .357. No problem, just clean it really good before you load the regular stuff.

Doesn't it have the same diameter of the .45acp? If so then you can't build the gun any smaller unless you go to a 5-shot chamber. Shortening the cylinder wouldn't compact it anymore.

Some bright light will figure out that they shave .001 seconds off his reloads in ICORE or IDPA competition and wind up starting a fad, just you wait and see..

Don't forget, that is .001 of a second PER SHOT. It adds up in a match where you are shooting 150 rounds. I bought 1 of the new Glock 37s and I ran 50 rounds through it. At 15 yards it was dead on. I am waiting for reloading data to come out. Also who will be the 1st to neck this cartridge down to .40? Now that may end up being the premier self defense cartridge of the decade.

Hmmm... The 45 Short would be an interesting cartridge to load. Who makes the brass and bullets for it?

Well, Tamara, anyway, you know how those IPSC shooters are. $150 for the fastest holster in the world, $150 for a 29 round magazine, $3000 to $4000 for a custom race gun. Money must not be any object. I have a $400 CZ75B in a matching El Paso holster, mag pouch, and belt. That is why I shoot IDPA. But at least now they have the different categories so that everyone can try it.

The Glock 37 does fit my hand better that the 21. Maybe I will take the pins off the table in under 5 seconds. Especially if I can get some reloading data for the .45 G. A. P., I guess that I can call Speer, since they are the only ones who are loading ammo for it. There is a Glock match coming up in my area in about a month. I think all that I need is 1 extra magazine, since I already have 2.

Or in the event that I did have one like it, "Because I

I'm not sure that this wouldn't be highly dangerous. Remember that the .45 GAP operates at a pressure of greater than 30,000 PSI, IIRC. The .45 ACP is in the sub-20,000 pressure range. I'd hate to damage my gun (and possibly myself! ) by having a case or cylinder let go on me...

They convert modern 625s to .460 Rowland, right? .45 Kurtz can't possibly have higher pressures than .45 Super or .460 Rolwand, can it?

The .460 Rowland has a considerably thicker, stronger case than .45 ACP. Can the same be said for the .45 GAP? Does the S&W 625 cylinder provide enough support for the case? I don't know... that's why I said "I'm not sure" if this would be dangerous. I just know I don't want to be the one doing the experimenting...
