4506 grips on 645/745; will this work?

The 645 and 745 are first Gen. S&W's and use screws to mount the grips. the 4506 grips are for 3rd Gens. and snap in and use grip pin. So they are not interchangeable.

A nice option for the 2nd Gen Smiths are the Uncle Mike's grips. I have them on a 659 and they are a big improvement.

There are two grip styles availabe for the 4506, a straight backstrap (which I prefer) and an arched backstrap.

The UM's is arched and fatter, if that matters.
