ANY EXPERINCE WITH A 454 LEVERGUN?

A buddy of mine has a .454 Puma lever gun. I`ve shot it quite a bit and it gobbles .45LC ammo up just fine. It`s a suprisingly smooth and accurate little rifle. The recoil`s not that bad even with heavy .454 loads. I`d like to get a 16" .454 carbine myself in the future. Marcus

Got one last spring, about 500 rounds thru it, handles 45 colt no problemo.
What I really like is the 300gr softpoint at 2000 fps, gives a TKO rating of 38.9. More than adequate for the deer and bear in my neck of the woods.
Only complaint is my front handguards hace cracked, anyone know where to find a replacement?

I've got one also.
It's one of the cheapest guns I own and one of the funnest. I've had no problems with 45 LC. As a matter of fact, I bought it to pair with my Bisley in 45 LC. I just liked the idea of being able to shoot such a wide range of loads through one gun.
