.45ACP Load

Does anyone use Green Dot to reload .45ACP? I want to use Green Dot for both 180gr FMJ .40SW and 230gr FMJ .45ACP, but cannot find a loading that uses green dot for .45ACP. If anyone has one, please let me know. Thanks.

I use Red Dot for cast slugs in the .45acp with good results but don't know about the Green. sorry.

With Green Dots burn rate, it should work just fine for target type loads in both of those, but I am not where I can look for data, nor have I used it in .45. I'll check when I am home.

2002 Alliant loadbook lists Green Dot loads as follows.
For .45 ACP:
230 JHP - 5.4 grains = 845 FPS at 19,500 PSI.
230 FMJ - 5.4 grains = 920 FPS at 15,800 PSI.


For .40 S&W:
180 JHP - 5.3 grains = 1,010 FPS at 33,600 PSI.

Looks like it will do better, velocity wise, in .45 and .40 than I thought it would.
