Has anyone tried both Mastercastbullets.com and Mastercast.net in 45ACP? Was one any better than the other? Thanks..

Just bumping this because I am now wondering the exact same thing.

It appears both have .45 . auto 230gr RN in stock, vs MBC which has a 3 or 4 week delay.

Both appear to be comparable price, both must be pretty small outfits since you have to phone or fax in orders (no online ordering).

Mastercast.net also has berry's plated bullets, but for $55 more, per 1000. I am tempted to try out their cast options.

Hoping for feedback on them!

I have used Mastercast.net. I have not used their 45, only 380. I have also bought shot from them. It is a small Mom & Pop shop. Very nice people to deal with.

Of the two, I have only used Mastercastbullets.com, in 45acp. They are my current favorite lead bullet supplier, and the cheapest I've found. The owner, Mike, is good people.

I have shot both... I have also shot dennys bullets (mastercast2), he took over for mike from mastercastbullets.com while he was down and out with knee surgery.

They all are very good. Let me suggest www.zcastbulletz.com for a very well made cast bullet at a very good price. This is the only cast bullet manufacturer I use now.

Yeah I knew they were backed up in January, I talked to him yesterday and he didn't mention a wait this time. Could still be backed up and just didn't mention it.

Mastercastbuets.com makes great bullets at a great price. Best of all, their "soft" alloy bullets not only are generally better than anyone's hard alloy bullets in non-magnum guns, they also charge you less for a less expensive alloy.
I have not tried the others.

I have bought from both. I ordered 500 45's (255gr) from .net in Pa a couple of months back as well as 44's. I wasn't too impressed. Mike in Carbondale Il. will be getting all my business. Like mentioned above (Mike in Il) his 230gr lrn in softer bhn are excellent. The 45 colts I got from Pa had wings where the molds were not closing all the way (probably won't hurt anything at all), and they just don't look as good as Mike's from Il. The only thing is sometimes it takes a long time to get an order from Mike in Il because you have to send a check or money order which takes a while, then sometimes it takes a week or so for him to ship, so I've waited a month or 6 weeks before from the time I sent the check until receiving them. Mike in PA accepted payment from website and bullets arrived within a week.
