45ACP revolver vs 1911

I shoot a .45 ACP revolver... a-lot. Buy the 100 pack of moonclips from Ranch Products and load in front of your TV. I am hard on clips and have not had one problem with them. I don't understand those who want to shoot without the clips, but to each his own. I would at least get some Autorim so that they extract and headspace correctly every time.
At one point I thought "I should look into getting a 1911". Then I shot one again and decided I would not be gaining a thing. It was completely alien to me.

As an owner of two SW 625s and a CZ 978b, I have the following observations.

"Reliability: I'll be the voice of dissent: The .45ACP revolver is one of the few revolver types that can wrap itself around the axle due to a sprung clip"

Reply: I've shot thousand of rounds in my 625 revolvers using full moon clips and have never seen or heard of any problems of wrapping itself around the axle using sprung clips. If a clip is not straight, you may have trouble inserting the loaded rounds in the chambers or closing the cylinder. In either case, the clip and loaded rounds can be easily ejected. To check your moonclips, lay them on a flat surface like a mirror and see if they true. You can straighten then out a bit if needed.

Accuracy: Single action revolver accuracy is fairly easy, double action is the challenge. Read, study, and follow the teachings of Jerry Miculek to learn how to shoot a revolver quickly and accurately. At least to me, accurate double action revolver shooting requires lots of practice, dry-firing, experimenting, and patience.

On the other hand, my CZ97b is quite accurate in single action. Use a grip with even pressure, don't milk the grip, and one shot follows the next. It's a fairly heavy gun with a long sight radius with good ergonomics.

I have a 1911 but I wouldn't leg a good buy on a 625 pass me by. They look like fun guns and I already have a bunch of 45 rounds on hand why not have 2 guns that can use them.
