Well back when I bought this gun I thought I was getting an Uberti, but it turned out that Cimarron sourced it from Pietta instead. It was my error for not being precise with my dealer when I ordered it but what the heck it has turned out to be a lot of fun.

First the pictures. All were 50 shot group fired offhand.

Yes this is one of the "man with no name" guns. I wanted a 5.5" barrel but due to none being available I finally just said the heck with it and took the 4.75". I figured if I liked it I would just order a 5.5" to go with it.

It was quite windy today with 12 mph gusting to 20 mph winds. That caused some of the fliers you see but the rest of it is my grip.

I have now shot the gun about 1400 times. It has turned out to be very fun to shoot and quite accurate. I would say it is definitely more accurate than I am with it. I have found that the glossy stocks slip in my hand when I sweat a bit so the gun seems to swim a bit from shot to shot. This causes me to tend to flip the shots around.

I have also found that the point of aim is different with 200 grn and 250 grn reloads. 250 are point of aim which makes them easier to shoot but very hard to shoot well with these big targets. You don't get a good sight picture when you can't see the front sight in all of the black of the target.

200 grn loads I am at the top of the target and they land right dead center. This is actually easier to shoot accurately for bullseye work. I will probably just stay with 250's and move to smaller targets in the future once I use these up.

The trigger on the gun is running just a hair over 2 lbs to fire. It is crisp but I don't like the sharp edges of the trigger. A bit more rounding would appeal to me. Actually the whole gun is a bit sharper then I care for. I think if I were to order another gun, I would go and handle more SAA's from other makers to see if I could find one that was less sharp edged.

So my summary is the Cimarron Pietta is accurate, reliable, easy to clean up, kind of snazzy but has a few sharp corners and edges like the trigger that tend to get you by the time you shoot 400 rnds in a day.

I also recently got a 7 1/2" barrel version in Cimarron Model P in 45 Colt. Mine also shots great and goes well with my ASM 4 1/2" barrel and Uberti Cattleman in 5 1/2 barrel. My Model P is made by Uberti by the way. I put a set of stag horn grips on mine and it also shots well. I load for these using Pyrodex at the moment for use with my NCOWS group.

Thank you for your post; I thought Cimarron dealt only with "Uberta" :)
Their website does show a Pietta section, which I had forgotten, but the MWNN is not in it (found in the "P" section).

How far from the target were you?
