.45GAP Lee Carbide Dies

Anyone use these in .45 GAP?

I'm curious if your sizing die is the .45ACP die. I just bought a set of Lee carbide .45 GAP dies, and I pulled out the sizing die and noticed that it is marked .45 ACP.

I realize that these cartridges are very similar, but just wondered if Lee is essentially giving out the same kit with a different label depending on which cartridge you wanted it to be?

I also considered that perhaps the sizing die is identical, and maybe the other dies are different between the two calibers...

I've been using the Lee carbide 45 ACP dies to load my 45 GAP. I bought the Lee undersize resizing die awhile back to use but haven’t loaded any 45 GAP with it yet. I’ve used the undersize dies in 9mm and 40 S&W with good results. Here is a link to the undersize dies -

Both the .45 GAP and .45 ACP have the exact same case diameter of .472", with no case taper.

SO, it stands to reason they both use the same sizing die.

The only differance in die sets would be the shorter belling/seating/crimping die length.

Thanks guys. In looking at Lee's website, it does appear that the "replacement part" for the .45 GAP sizing die body is the .45 ACP die body.
