What did you do to that poor little thing? Krylon paint? Well, my hatred for bubba painting aside, if it's gonna be a bird gun, then I can see the use of camo. I give you a C+. :)

Looks fine, go shoot it. I got a stevens for $49 bucks OTD and did a refinish on the stock and put it back together. I added a missing sight bead for $5 and now only need a buttplate that was missing.

It ended up being a youth model, so anyone out there with a youngster in need of a first shotgun, please holler.

Looks like a great woods runner. A coupla things....

First, I'd get a good pad mounted unless that's a 28 gauge or 410 bore.. Even in 20 gauge, kick is severe with heavy loads. Bet touching off a slug in that as it sets would make anyone want a pad.

Second, leave the barrel as is. Bobbing it will not save much weight, and this is light, light, light now. And, choke is usually a good thing. Betcha this will make a fairtomiddlin' turkey gun with the right load.

A light carrying strap style sling is a good idea. You may waat/need your hands free.

Enjoy.....

Good move, Wolf. I have a similar pad made by PAST, I think. Works well for benching slugs.

Wolf,

Where are you finding nice gun prices like that in this area? Most places I see are trying to get $150 out of a 12 ga Topper that looks like its been through WWII.
