I'm not clear on what you are asking? What is the relationship between the vest and a holster?

The 5.11 vest has a 'hook and loop' piece of fabric in each side for a holster to be "secured" within the pouch to allow for a somewhat fixed position of the holster. I was wondering if there was a holster maker that made a holster that was backed with the same fabric to mate up to the piece in the vest. 5.11 does make a flimsy looking one with so-so reviews, just looking for other types.
Thanks

I understand now.

I can't think of any holster that uses velcro as the primary attachment device. I suspect most of the ones you'll find will be on 5.11 site. There may be some nylon holsters out there with velcro as an attachment device, but nylon is not generally a material recommended by knowledgeable holster users.

Catman, have u carried a firearm in a vest holster before? The reason i ask is because the vest will sag badly on that side. Try carrying a compatible weight to the firearm in the vest pocket and u will see what i mean. Wont be quite as bad if the vest is zipped up.

I've already tried it with my Commander, no noticeable sag that I could tell, but I did have it zipped.

Some of the "police tactical" vests are covered with velcro. The optional holsters, handcuff cases, radio pouches, etc. just slap on at any convenient point.

I wasn't all that impressed, but they were sure being marketed hard for a while.
