5.56 Magazines

Howdy, folks. I've just come across about 9 AR15 magazines. This might be a silly question but I'm uninformed in this area. Aside from AR-15's, would a magazine that carries 5.56 be able to fit in other 5.56 rifles, such as a Mini 14 or some external magazine fed 5.56 non semi-automatic rifles? Thanks folks.

The Mini-14 mags are different from the AR-15 mags. They latch in place differently. The Remington Model 7615 accepts AR-15 mags.

Some rifles out there are made to take AR15 mags (7615, Sig 556, Masada, Kel Tec, among others)

I think that "some" Mini-14 mags will work in an AR15, but no... not all 5.56 mags are compatable with other rifles...

Ram-line use to make clear/smoke dual mags for minis and ARs. They are
notched for both types.

The HK G-41 takes AR mags.

A pox on gun designers who also think they are magazine designers.

They should stick to making their guns use proven magazine designs adopted by the worlds major miltaries -- AR, AK, FAL, G3, M14, Thompson, Sten, Uzi. anything else is almost certain to be inferior -- not that the above aren't often found made by inferior producers not up to the military specs.
