I only use Ramshot Tac for my AR loads. The stuff meters through my Dillion 550 like sugar. I have used 748, IMR4895 and Varget. I don't like to weigh and trickle when I'm doing quanity. I got a pound of 8208XBR as a gift and can't wait to try it. Anybody know how it meters?
I've run 26.2 grains of TAC under a 53 VMax all year, it's a fairly hot load that runs 3200fps in 80+ degree heat and will hold MOA to 500 meters out of my Stag 3G. No pressure signs. X-Terminator will probably run better than TAC with bullet in that weight range.

There are so many good powders for the 223/5.56mm round it's scary.
Like said above, WC844, WC846, CFE223, H335, BL-C(2), 4985, Varget, AA2230, AA2495, IMR 8208 XBR, Benchmark, W748, X-Terminator, TAC and probably a few I missed, all will work and work fairly well.
For semi-auto .223 ammo I like WC844, CFE223 and H335 best. For bolt action ammo I use almost noting other than Varget.
