38 Grs of Hodgdons Lil-Gun and a 275Gr HP at 1950 FPS with WW Large Rifle Primers.
35.4 Gr of Hodgdons Lil-Gun WW Large Rifle Primers with 300 Gr Speer Gold Dot HP's and Sierra 350 Gr JHP's at 1843fps and 1813 fps............Yea I am sore. Out of about 50 plus rounds, no Miss fires except one from last time at the range, it went off second try. Groups are at 75 yds. One 3 shot group to see where I was hitting, the other two five shot groups. I didn't try the 300-350gr's for groups, I was sore by then....They seem milder than the 275's though.

Cases are easy to deep set primers.............Accurate little gun.

the .50 beo is what im after. I've been wanting that upper for my AR for about almost a year. trouble is i see theres been a lack of loaded ammo in any gr. for the big bad beowulf.

Now....im on the road to reloading this month. I plan to still put one on my list this year and star the process.

In ballistics, the 16" barreled .50 beowulf is almost identical to .500sw 10" revolver specs but in a more controllable weapon with a bit more ammo.

I started to drift off and want a different big bore caliber like the .458 Socom due to the wider range of projectiles but the price of the upper and ammo was more than my .338 win mag!(about the same price really:banghead:)

I like the .458 idea and super heavy bullets they have in .458 caliber but the .50 can deliver heavier bullets to higher velocities from what im reading. not to mention the ammo loaded is much cheaper.

keep up the good work for people like me!;)

.50 Beo. It does get your attention after a bit..........

I thought about the .458's, I thought you might use cheap .45 ACP bullets in them. They are not .451............Brass and bullets are no problem for the .50. Same bullets as the .500 S&W and Starline makes the brass, just had UPS drop off some .50 Beo head stamped Starline. Load your own, I have yet to shoot any factory .50 Beo, I load my own..........easy case to reload.

Looks like your .50s are doing quite a bit better, and accurate as well...glad to hear it.

Seeing your stock and shoulder you may like this product:

I put one on my Mossberg 500SPX and i still haven't tried it out, But i know i wont be having bruised shoulders anymore.

Cool pictures and rifle. I have a rra 458 and have much the same experience. The 405g bullets recoil less than the 300s. Very accurate hard hitting rifles.

Good shooting!

I'm running 334 grain Rainiers out of mine with 36.0 grains of Lil'Gun and CCI magnum pistol primers; this has been a great load for my Wulf and not too bad on the shoulder with the Ace stock and pad.

Yes.............it uses bullets for the .500 S&W and .50 Action Express as well as .50 bullets from Power Belt Bullets for the Black Powder crowd........Bullets are easy to come by. There is data on the AA website for the 530gr Powerbelt.

.458 socom uses the same bullets as 45/70 government, in addition to the specialty bullets developed for the .458 socom, brass is also available from starline.

In addition to the .458SOCOM there is the .45Professional/.450Bushmaster which does take .451/.452 caliber projectiles. Personally I find .458cal to be a benefit, despite the additional cost, because it affords a better selection of well constructed hunting bullets.
