So I have begun my journey into loading the 50 BMG...I have done exhaustive reading and video watching...I have an RCBS Ammomaster with conversion kit and Hornady dies....I'm taking things slow and after extensive research and video watching started with the sizing process, not yet concerning myself with anything else....
I have both HXP 74 and CBC 50 10 brass....The HXP I picked up once fired and the CBC I fired myself....
Here is my issue....I can't get it to fully size....I am putting some pressure on it at the end but obviously do not want to force it...I am using Horandy Case lube....The cases measure 3.915 before trimming....The neck size goes from .6 to .64 (at the shoulder)....Here are some pics of my press set up (without the decapping pin)....a pic of the case in the presss, and my end result....
Any suggestions?...Is it me?....the brass?....it seems that while it should take some force to size the case the neck is just to expanded to resize....what am I missing?....thanks very much....Eric
