Just wondering if LC 10 50 BMG, once fired brass is worth more for reloading or for me to just sell as scrap brass? I have over 600 rounds it. Price per pound at the scrap yard is $1.55.

List it in the for sale section then go to the PO and pick up some large flat rate boxes. You'll need them.

At about 850 grains per case it would mean your 600 cases would weigh about 73 lbs. or $113 at $1.55 per lb. Some recyclers are paying $1.85 to around $2.00 per lb. Once fired cases can be bought for 55 cents each. At 55 cents each that would be $330 for the 600 cases. Buyer pays shipping and you should use flat rate Post Office boxes. $113 versus $330 but with the hassle of selling and shipping but you'd save some good cases from the scrap chopper.

Just to clarify, I did a run down of my 50 BMG cases last night. I have 1) LC 05, 5) LC 09, 8) LC 87, 10) WCC 06, 146) LC 07 and 157) LC 08. 300 cases are not reloadable and I am not sure all of the counted cases are either. Noticed last night that several cases have a flat spot at the case mouth. This flat area resulted for the cases ejecting and hitting the center cross support of my custom mount. In the opening post I said I had LC 10, but the case I looked at was LC 07. Sorry for the confusion, the only things I reload are belts and magazines.

The cases are probably still reloadable, when they get run thru the die it should take care of the necks. I've had some surplus that looked like it was bad for sure, once it was ran thru the die it was okay. As long as the case mouth doesn't split they're good, might not be match quality but they'll be good for plinking stuff.;)

One of our local shops here buys it for .80 per piece. 600 pieces is a a chunk of change at the going rate for 50 BMG brass.

Definitely sell it!

Not worried about the flattening on the necks - that can be cleared up easy with pliers before running the expanding ball through them (this will prevent creasing if you pre-straighten them before sizing).

I'll buy them in bulk - PM me with your price.

Yeah, those will resize fine. Like Trent said, straighten them up at little before sizing. I would use a large screw driver or other piece of round stock to clean them up as good as possible before sizing them. Kinda like doing sheet metal work but easier, place the round stock down in the case and bend the brass back into shape.
