I have seen a few pics of 50 rifles around here, if you have a 50 post your pics here!!!!

Doesnt just have to be 50 bmg, I would also like to see some pics of your 50 beowulf's

I dont have either......but I sure would like one....

If there has already been a 50 pic thread, please point it out, I searched for one, and couldnt find any....

The big BOHICA! 24 inch barrel, MagPul PRS stock, and since it's not currently being used at long ranges, the EOTech works good, and no worries about "scope eye"

I forgot about 50 Alaskan, that is a beautiful lever action, and Acera, I like your rifle too, have you shot it much?

Friends M2 with shield attached.

Looking down range behind my AR-50 and another friends Windrunner.

And who can resist a chick behind an M2 mounted on a Hummer?

Im hearing more and more, that most 50 bmg's with a good muzzle brake doesnt have as much recoil as say....a .300 win mag.....but, I havent shot any, so when, or if the day ever comes that I get to shoot one of these things, I will get to see for my self:neener:

Hey 50 Shooter, how do you like your Ar-50?

The AR-50 is probably one of the most favored .50's for first timers and I'm glad to say that I went with it. There really isn't any recoil, it's more like a quick shove and then it's over. If you're shooting long range you can usually get back on target and see the round impact.

That would be cool to shoot long range, but my range, the only range less than an Hour away, only has a 100yrd limit.....

100 yrds gets kinda boring after awhile....

How do you guys afford to feed these monsters???

Getting out to where you can let the .50 shine is the hardest part, the middle picture is where we go in the desert. The furthest target that we shoot at is 2000 yards, some dipdunk stole the 1 mile target and frame that we left out there!

This is what it looks like when drawing down on a 2K target.

Feeding the beast? It's best to reload to keep it affordable, if not you can plan on spending $3+ a round for surplus or $5+ on match.

it must feel good when you see the hit on the target and hear the bang a few seconds later from those really long shots....

and, yea, I guess reloading makes sense, just never crossed my mind.....:p

What's even better is when you're spotting for another person and the conditions are right to see the round fly through the air. The shockwave the .50 produces is huge and seeing it is awesome.

dammit, why dont I have 4.5k for one of these right now......:neener:

this thread only makes me want one.....

That all? Another 6 months and it will be cheaper than .308

Not quite True:

BOHICA Upper: $1245
AR Lower $175
Lower Parts: $50
Heavy Spring: $5
Basic Stock: $50
Basic Optic $400

25 rnds mil Surplus
@ $3 each $75

Grand Total: $2,000.00

Since you don't have $4500 for one, how about $4500 for a tricked out pair!!

Now think what that will cost when bho puts forth a nation wide ban.............. (or were you thinking ahead with the $4,500 estimation :) )

Well, I thought I read somewhere that the LAR Grizzley was like $3700 so I thought these rifles must be much more than that.....but maybe not!

Afy,
It's the NP-R2 reticle in a NF scope to answer your question.

Tony,
The cost of reloading a regular ball round is about $1.50 with current prices and where you shop at. This price can also vary depending on what type of powder, if you use new or 1x fired surplus brass and I would say primers but the only game in town anymore is CCI.

Well, $1.50 isnt bad....for a 50, I just dont think I can afford it right now.....

Careful now...we don't want to alienate any women here! It's a slippery slope.

But anyway, if the dang things weren't so expensive to buy and expensive to shoot, I'd love to get into that. It's a little too rich for my blood. Heck I cringe at my .223 ammo bill as it is!

Since nobody has posted any baby .50's I'll put my Beowulf in here.
