This is a project gun idea I've been thinking or looking into. Doe anyone know who the cheapest maker of a complete .50BMG rifle is? What about parts kits or building one yourself? Are those viable routes to go? I would like to have a .50, but am unable to afford one for the price that they go for.:(

Not a whole lot of manufacturers make .50BMGs. Barrett and Armalite are the two that come to mind. Armalite is less expensive than Barrett, but Barrett is the better choice.

Serbu firearms makes a "budget" single shot .50BMG.

Only $2200. I think that's about the cheapest...

If you have good machining ability, or know someone who does, you can build one yourself. If you're looking for something like an AR-15 build it yourself with a finished receiver, nope.

Vulcan arms, builders of self field stripping firearms. Stay away from it, they are poorly built.

Go with as ferret AR15 upper or a serbu for a cheap .50 bmg.

Sir, would that be the "Manda" .50 BMG?

If so I would very much like to know about that rifle- internal workings, benchrest accuracy, etc.
