I know it sounds crazy, but here's what I was wondering:
I was thinking of buying a Handi rifle chambered in 500 s&w, and using surplus 50bmg bullets. Since it's a rifle, the OAL of the cartridge could be much longer than that of a revolver. Plus, there are a lot of surplus 50 bmg bullets out there. I know they make 700 grain lead projectiles specifically for the 500 s&w, so why not use 50 bmg, which is the same weight or less?
