54r in Lee Enfeild

Has Anyone here cut a 762x54r into an Enfeild rifle? Was curious about that. I have a nice pile of 54r & a 303 I'd rather not reload for.

Oh man. Apostasy. Don't disfigure your beautiful Enfield for ammo purposes. Just go buy a Mosin to shoot your 54r. It's probably cheaper in the long run, anyway, adding in the loss of value you incur for your Enfield.

So, there has been some interest in doing this, but if it was up to me, the bolt on the Enfield just doesn't feel strong enough for stout loads of 7.62x54r.
Could be wrong, but that's my gut feeling.

Single lug bolt on the Enfield and I've seen more than a few peened and set back from shooting the .303 Brit. I would not chance a 7.62x54 Rooski in that gun.

You do know that ugly duck Enfields are selling for $400. You could sell it and buy a pretty Mosins.
