550 para cord

Recomendations on preferred places to order 1000' spools of 550 para cord.

Not much interested in colors other than black and od green.

Don't want the cheaper stuff more prevalent today.

Sportsman's Guide?

I got some a while ago from them. In their new catalog 600 foot spools are $14.97. I don't know if that is a good price, but my spool is still half full after 2-3 years.

They claim its milspec MIL-C-5040 Type III. I bought a roll from them and have been pleased with its utility. 1000' rolls are $48 right now.

You might be able to find cheaper than that somewhere, just make sure its MIL-C-5040.

This is knot what you asked for but I thought the guy had some cool projects (see above)...you might even be able to use all of that new spool.
