I was reading an article about converting .556 brass into 7.62X25 TOK. I assume that same methods could be used to make 7.63X25 (30 Mauser) since they are very similar.

Is/has anyone done this? I'm looking for pointers

I have never done it, I did watch this video which I am sure you have watched. I would imagine it would work as well for the 7.63X25 (30 Mauser) as well as it works for the 7.62X25 Tokarev cartridge.

I can tell you that the 5.56 NATO has a base diameter of .373" and a rim diameter of .375" while the 7.63X25 (30 Mauser) has a base diameter of .381" and a rim diameter of .390". That runs with a few cases I have laying here and measured. Now how much that will matter in a 5.56 NATO cut down cut down and run through a 30 Mauser resizing die I really don't know.

What I would do is cut maybe 10 cases down and give it a try and see what you get looking for any signs of the cases splitting. Hopefully other members have better inputs than mine.
