Howdy folks I’m looking for a new barrel for my 6.5 Grendel ar 15

Uses
Shooting from the bench
Some deer hunting say 300 and in more like 200 and in but 300 is possible

looking for 18 inch length thanks!
Looking for MOA accuracy

p.s. I am an avid hand loader so I have/do load for this cartridge

I am a personal fan of Faxon barrels. They make 16, 18 and 20 inch gunner barrels in 6.5 grendel. I have found them to be reasonably priced, good quality and accurate.

Shilen, Black Hole Weaponry, Bartlein/Craddock, Proof Research, and Krieger, in no particular order. They’ll shoot considerably smaller than 1MOA.

I’ve tended to go Rifle length 20” Grendels, or longer, but have had a 12.5” and a 16”, and built everything from 16”-26” for others. For the task of whitetail hunting to only 300yrds I’d likely go 16” in your shoes (20” if it were my money).

For bench use and positional hunting fields, I prefer a little extra barrel weight, something on the order of a National Match/DCM profile - heavy behind the block, but 0.750” gas block and nominal muzzle.
