Contemplating a new barrel for my G-2 carbine . . . anyone have any experience with such? Any info on most effective/recommended barrel length?

    Thanks!

    koja48,

I am familiar with the TC's, own a few frames and barrels and I think you might want to check the pressure specs on the 6.5 G first...Now I know the 6.8 SPC is chambered, so you probably can get the 6.5 in a TC...plus most custom barrel shops will not let you get an unsafe chambering due to the lawyers.

OTT technologies, MBM and JD Jones might all be able to help out as far as sourcing a barrel goes...but I haven't seen a factory chamber for it yet. Alexander Arms would have to do allow the company to do it as the reamers are proprietary, IIRC.

I would think that a 6.5 G in either 14" pistol or 16.25 as a carbine would be a nifty little white-tail and hog number...accuracy would be acceptable, I think :D
