I have a Rem Mod700 in 264 Win Mag and a Rem Mod7 in 260 Rem.
Both have a 1 in 9" Twist Rate.
I bought berger 140 grain VLDs before I learned the Twist rate.
The Berger VLD box says for 1 in 8" Twist or Faster.
Do I bother working up a load or sell the bullets and get a lesser grain weight?
Also what grain weight should I look for with a my current twist rate?
Thanks in advance!

They show a recommended 1in8" twist, but with the velocity advantage of the 264 Win Mag, it may be fine. Higher velocities can overcome some twist requirements. I would not be afraid to work up loads in that.

I would not try the 260 Rem with those VLD's, but I know that flat base 140's will work with a 1in9" twist at 260 velocities, as I have a 6.5x55 in that twist and it shoots Hornady and Rem 140's very well.

It's not the weight so much as the length of the bullet that matters with twist rate, i.e. the faster twist is recommended for the longer 140gr VLD compared to a shorter 140gr flat base bullet which is more likely to be accurate in a slower 1:9 twist barrel. That being said, other factors come into play such as velocity of the bullet which was mentioned above....CT

Studsz223,
