I have a Rem Mod700 in 264 Win Mag and a Rem Mod7 in 260 Rem.
Both have a 1 in 9" Twist Rate.
I bought berger 140 grain VLDs before I learned the Twist rate.
The Berger VLD box says for 1 in 8" Twist or Faster.
Do I bother working up a load or sell the bullets and get a lesser grain weight?
Also what grain weight should I look for with a my current twist rate?
Thanks in advance!

Considering that the .264 Mag is going to be pushing the bullet much faster than the .260, I'd say that warning is pretty moot.

I'd try them in both rifles.

I agree, chances are the .264 Win Mag at the very least will be able to stabilize them. My 6.5x55 match rifle with it's 8.5" twist stabilizes them.
