I want one of the new Savage LRPV rifles in the new 6 Norma BR caliber but it's only available in 1:12 twist. I know that in .223Rem or .22-250Rem 1:12 is only good for the lighter weight bullets like 40gr-60gr.

Has anyone had any real experiance with the 6mm BR Norma (or any of the 6mm/.243 calibers) in regards to twist rates vs bullet wt.?

Note that Savage now offers the F-Class rifle in 6BR with an 8" twist for 105-107 gr bullets, might even handle the 115.

If you are wedded to the LRPV style, I understand that Savage will special order non-standard combinations of their "features" like a different twist or even a different caliber as long as it is something they have the parts for in production. Last I heard it was about $100 extra.
