I got a hold of some 7.62x39 Plastic Core ammo from a friend.
I pulled and cut up a bullet. It has a copper + ferrous material jacket ( it sticks to a magnet. ) It weighs 61.6 grains. The core is a hard plastic.
The headstamp says "04" and "75" on it. The steel case is a charcoal color and the projectile is nearly the same color.
I would like to know any information on the round that you all may have. I got it more for a novelty than anything else. I do not have high hopes for superb accuracy at long distances, like 200 yds, but who knows. It feels like shooting a ak74 with the lighter bullet.
Has anyone done any accuracy tests with this round? If I like it, do you know where to get more?
I will be going to the range soon to do some testing on accuracy, and if anyone's interested, I will let em know what's what.
Thanks
John L
