Vortex or Nikon

I purchased a Nikon Monarch with the BDC when they first came out. I have had such great experience with the BDC all my rifles have been switched over to this system. Its fast and very accurate with all my rifles. I practice out to 500 yards and have shot deer quite often around the 400 yard range.

You do need to shoot factory ammo with the software would be the only draw back.

Nikon makes a nice product, as do many others. Wanted to keep the length under 12.5 and go with a 30mm tube and SF, so went with the Leupold. Believe I will be real pleased.

I've had lots of scopes from several manufacturers from rimfire to target scopes. My best scope for clarity of lenses, adjustability and overall quality is the Leupold VX 3 3.5-10X. i have several scopes with higher magnification, but this scope is still my favorite. You can buy them for under $500. Tom

Check out the Sightron Big Sky series. Great scopes at reasonable prices. You can find reviews everywhere and even Amazon sells them

I have the VX-3 4-14x40 on my deer rifle. Never needed anything more. You done good. You will be astounded at the low light performance and clarity.
