617 shooting way high

My 617 is shooting way high, and i have lowered the rear sight as far as it will go. I guess I need a taller front blade. Does anyone know what the factory front height is? Anyone else have this problem with their 617? Are they intended for super long range or something (mine seems to be zeroed at the lowest adjustment at around 75-100yards)?

Hello neighbor, I have both a 6", and 4" no dash 617, the 6" shoots dead on, but my 4" shoots way high, I also have my back sight bottomed out, you can carry it to a gunsmith and have them put a taller front sight on it,or if you are going to do it yourself, they will measure it for you. Mine will aggrevate me enough one day, and I will have my front sight replaced. Good luck.
