I'm looking at swapping out the factory front sight on my 4.2" Redhawk for a fiber optic sight, but I'm concerned about sight height.

Brownell's lists the height of a factory replacement front sight as 0.436 inch.

HiViz lists the height of their front sight at 0.300

I'm afraid this is going to cause the gun to shoot high, and I'm not sure the factory rear sight has enough elevation adjustment to compensate. (And even if it does, that will negatively imapct the ability to adjust the sights in the future.)

Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone have any thoughts?

Williams only lists a sight set (front and rear) for a GP100. I have a plunger type front sight, but not sure if the rear would work (they look similar), but I would still probably have the front sight height issue.

(*note: MidwayUSA lists the same part number Williams Firesight for GP100 (70958) as compatible with GP100, RH, and SRH, so not sure which to believe.)

Marble's doesn't seem to be much better.
