I had my 'smith give one of my "family guns" ('68 336C) a "rebirth". I was a little disappointed that he left the original (old, shrunk & yellowed) buttplate spacer and pistol grip spacer in place. He said he couldn't find any, and after searching the normal places online - I believe him.

Anyone know where I might be lucky enough to find these items?

Even if you found the original factory ones, they would not be fitted to your stock.
The stock, spacers and caps were all assembled and sanded to final size.

You will probably have to make them.
A white plastic bucket or some such would be the donor material to make them from.

Or you can buy a universal fit spacer like these.

Believe I'd go with the cheap bucket though.
Cut oversize, install, and file & sand to fit.

I will buy a couple of the spacers from Midaway and drive over to get them (shipping is high). I would go the plastic bucket route if I could sand them down around the wood, but it just got refinished.

Thanks rc.

Like I said, whatever you put on it will have to be sanded down to fit the stock.

You can't buy anything that will already fit, because they were sanded down with the stock, butt-plate & grip cap when the stock was made by Marlin.

No, I know rc. I was thinking it would be easier to cut/fit the polymer ones from Midway than a bucket.......plus it gives me a reason to order a few more things to make the trip worth while.

Just glad I own a Dremel.......

I would not use a 5er as the stock material for the spacer. Look up a guitar parts company called Stewart MacDonald. They sell Pick Guard material of varying thickness. Get some of that to make you spacers.
