I've been looking for a replacement to my 6" model 14 S&W and wanted something unique. Well, the new 686 PC in 38 Super looks like it will fit the bill and then some. Anyone seen one of these yet or shot one?

I have seen pics of the 627 in 38 super and almost bought one in 357 mag. The PC revos are nice guns.

1. What is wrong with your M14?
2. I handled the 686 PC 6-shot .38 Super cliploader at the SHOT Show. Nice gun, I will probably buy one for IDPA SSR. The S&W and Bangers reps said they would be out in April.

Does one have to use moonclips?

No. Case headspaces at the mounth. And since its a semi rimmed case, star will sometimes extract the cases or at least partially extract the case and you don't have to dig them out with your fingernails.

Has S&W decided not to introduce this model after all? It's missing from their website and I haven't seen or heard anything from the shops I frequent regarding its availability.

I heard today from a Master class shooter who was consulted on the specs that they will be out in April. They were originally scheduled for March, but the .500 is taking up so much man and machine time that they were put off for a month.

Bangers is the sole distributor.

What other revolvers did S&W make in .38 super? I saw an 8 shot S&W revolver in .38 super last fall at a local dealer. I picked it up thinking it was a .357 from the custom shop, but it was a .38 super with multi colored grips.
