6mm ARC

I am still going ahead with it. I am waiting on the barrel from McGowan then I will start focusing on it a bit more. Still need to order up the stock too, it has been a busy couple of weeks not much time to cogitate on recreational stuff.

I picked up 100 Hornady 6mm ARC cases, each of which came with complimentary primers, powder, and 108gr ELD-M bullets. Those will keep me busy for a minute at least, and it is actually kind of convenient that I can just use the factory loads to see how the rifle does, break in the barrel, etc. before I start chasing loads. Honestly, at $1.60 a round for the factory ammo and the going rate of $1 for unfired cases (if you can find them), I'll just buy factory ammo as I need more cases. Hopefully the round will catch on, it would be nice to be able to get Starline or Lapua brass.

It is nice to know they can be formed from 6.5 Grendel brass in a pinch though, thanks. I have some Starline 7.62x39 brass, but I'm going to keep them that was because I load x39 too. Good luck testing those out.

No, you cannot beat the price of factory ammo vs reloading.
I just cannot find factory ammo nearby, and this reloading thing keeps me busy, so, reloading it is, and I enjoy chasing solutions to a non-existing problem! :)
One of my range buddies is doing the same as you. He keeps buying factory ammo to use when his Shaw complete upper is delivered. Hopefully within the next month or two!
