Hi everyone,
I am a collector of antique and vintage US military Rifles and Sidearms. One of the people whom i buy from is offering a M1895 Lee Navy Rifle. I have had a gun smith inspect it and it is safe to fire which is amazing. Unfortunately ammunition is incredibly rare and expensive considering it hasn’t bee produced since the mid 30s. Does anyone have a line on hand loading components Especially brass?
thanks,

No help but here’s a thread where a guy made some from .240 Weatherby cases.

220 swift brass is necked up to this caliber.
Now I'm out of the deer stand and can type better. I was supposed to inherit one of these some years ago before the kids got stupid so I did some research. 220 swift brass and standard cup and core. 243 bullets with a modest load of 4895ish powder will get you a short necked 6mm Lee. The information I found referenced reduced starting loads for .257 Roberts, a case of similar geometry and pressure rating as a starting point. You might need to deepen the extractor groove although most reported reliable function un altered.
