Does any store have any of the surplus 7.62 x 25 ammo left???? I noticed I was about out yesterday, so I called up J&G to order some today and they are out..... then I checked all the other well known distributors and they are all out........ found one place with 48 boxes left of 70 rounds each.... I started to place my order for 18 boxes (1260 rounds) but when I found out they were going to charge me $77 for shipping I quickly backed out of that deal....

Anyone know where I can get more food for my Tokarevs??????

I've noticed this too. I must have bought some of the last stuff from J&G (when I looked later in the week after ordering they were out). I'm wishing I'd bought a case instead of 4 boxes of 70rds. I'm hoping someone will import some more surplus soon, until recently everyone seemed to have it in stock. :(

wow. did it really dry up all of a sudden like that? i have two tokarevs :(

thankfully, i have a couple of sealed polish spam cans of surplus ammo hidden away :D

You know, I was thinking at the time that I was being irrational to purchase a few thousand rounds (2/3 PPU Yugoslavian surplus, 1/3 Polish surplus). Then I read a few months later that the Yugoslavian surplus dried up and now I see this thread that indicates the recently plentiful Polish surplus may have followed suit.

I doubt it, just all the suppliers are sold out for the time being.

AIM just had a shipment of M57 Tokarevs. Means alot of new Tokarev owners (guilty, love that C&R) buying ammo (guilty - wish I'd gotten two cases must've gotten some of the last that J&G had :neener: ). Give time for the next boat to arrive and things will be back in stock

Eventually it will dry up. There was only so much made & stockpiled. Surplus .303, .30 carbine, and 30.06 used to be plentiful too and now try to find it. If any 7.62x25 hits the shore buy it in quantity.

just found out that classic arms still has the polish surplus..... also found out why they still have it...... they want $161.10 for a tin of 1260 rounds...... everyone else who had it wanted from 90 to 115 for the same tin of 1260 rounds.......

It's caliber that is going extinct so surplus ammo supply is going to run out and only expensive newly made ammo will be available in the future. The surplus 7,62x25 pistols are not as good deal as people make them out to be.
I noticed that in United States gun owners seem to hoard vast quantity of ammo to what end I will never understand. The manufacturers keep raising ammo prices for bs reasons yet gun owners still buy it and complain that it keeps getting more expensive to get. If you stop buying insanely priced ammo the problem will go away.

ammo prices continue to rise, and you don't understand why people hoard ammo? uhh...

It's vicious perpetual cycle that can only be broken by reduced demand. All one has to say is I'm NOT going to play ammo company game and you too will be free. Ever tried: fishing, bike riding,.... instead of shooting guns?

Eh, pablo,
you must be confused...

but, you can add another one to those 'beat the ammo company man' games
roll you own, get a nice casting die, some good brass...

Haha. Guilty too! If I'd known J&G was going to sell out, I would have bought more of the ammo. I figure more will come over eventually and I've always had good luck with Prvi Partisan ammo and that's still far cheaper than most of my other handgun calibers (.45ACP and 7.62 Nagant, ouch!). Unfortunately it's not in the budget for me to buy any where near as much ammo as I'd like to...but I try to pick up a case of surplus when I find a good deal.

have you checked what forum you're on, brotato?

I think Sportsman's Guide still has Polish in stock.

I only saw Wolf ammo there when I just checked (read your post and immediately went to go check). i may have just missed it, it seems to be selling out all over. :(

The HP ammo was impossible to find for, what, about 6 or 8 months?

Rumors were Wolf quit making it, too.

So, when it showed up again a couple of months ago, I snagged, I think, 500 rounds.

I have no idea what I'll ever do with 1260 rounds of FMJ and 500 rounds of HP, but for some strange reason I find comfort in the fact.

btw: the Yugo Tok has earned permanent car duty.

I was going to post a thread asking the same question.

A Tok is next on my list (C&R should be here any day now), but all of the surplus is sold out. Any news on when the next ship load will hit our shores?
