I just picked up some Privi Partizan 7.62 x 39 SPRN ammo for my Mini-Thirty.
Compared to FMJ, is there any difference in performance?

well yes, as in impact performance on a 'target'. the fmj is gonna blow on thru the sp will expand, as in on deer.
I have'nt tryed the sp's but few years back got a few boxes of PP fmj and shot in my Mini30 it did well, accurate and clean and the brass is good to handload.
seems it was going for around 5.25/box of 20 wish I had got more of it. good ammo.

Fired a few rounds of the Privi Partizan SPs thru my SKS. About as accurate as my SKS gets, and POI was about 2" right of the FMJs I shoot. In my SKS they are deer hunting accurate.

The only real difference I can tell is that with the Wolf 154gr. SP there is a slight recoil increase when stacked with 122gr. FMJ but that was only due to the grain weight difference and only when shot with side by side in comparison. Otherwise one expand's and the other one does not. PPU makes good ammo, & you shouldn't have any issues.

Would really like to hear about accuracy in mini-thirty. I have one of the older ones with US 30 caliber spec barrels not Soviet spec and got good results (and kills on deer) with the old Norinco SP. Now I've tried Vympel SP and get OK hunting accuracy (3") but US SP doesn't seem to work well at all.

I found them to be very accurate in my 16" AR; but the round noses and M4 ramps did not go well together...you may have better luck with that aspect in the Mini.
