If I were to shoot a lot of cast lead bullets out of a 7.62x39 barrel, would a chrome lined barrel be worth while? I'm not planning to shoot corosive ammo. I found a website with AR barrels in 7.62x39 with the option for chrome. I like the cal because I can run hardcast at my local indoor range, and they don't like people shooting FMJ or HP. So, would the chrome make the rifle easyer to clean? Or would it just make the barrel less accurate?

Chrome supposedly actually hurts accuracy. And lead is a b***h to get off even a chromed barrel.

I don't see any reason to do it. What kind of rifle we talking about anyways? A lot of them already have chromed barrels.
