Ruger and S&W make good .17HMR revolvers.
Side note:
All the .17HMR handguns currently available are revolvers.
No one makes a .17HMR semi-auto pistol due to the possible kaboom issue with .17HMR and semi-auto actions. Which is why almost all .17HMR semi-auto rifles have been recalled & discontinued.

Thanks for the tips. I have been looking at these 2 guns (S&S and Ruger) for awhile and was hoping I had overlooked other options. I really love the 17 HMR round and hoped for a nice pistol. The Taurus Tracker has had lots of reported problems and the S&W 647, the newest version, is an expensive and very specialized target model. So, for me, that leaves the Ruger. The other option is to wait for a used S&W 647 to turn up. Those were just a really nice revolver, not the long-barreled varmint model. I'll keep looking and thanks again.
