I am trying to work up a load for some 75gr HPBT bullets I bought a while back. I have plenty of H335 on hand, but not a lot of Varget, so am going to go with the 335. I have looked at my Lyman and Speer manuals, and also the Hogdon and Sierra website data. Basically, the acceptable charges for a 75gr in these references range from a starting load of 21.0-22.5gr and go up to a max load of 22.6-25.1gr. I am planning on loading 5 cartridges at 22.0gr and 5 cartridges at 22.5gr, both set to 2.260" COAL.

Is this a safe starting load in your opinion? Does anyone have a good H335 load for a 75gr HPBT?

I loaded some 60 HPBT a while back with 24gr of H335, set to 2.260", and they cycle fine in my 1:7 AR; pretty accurate too.

Thanks for any help.

That bullet shoots very well for me but I have only used H4895 and Varget with it. I use 335 on 55gr bullets. Might work, just never tried it.

Yes, your start loads should be fine.
